Dork of the Year

Wednesday, February 15, 2006
Give it up. Try as you might, you will never be a bigger dork than me.

Example from today: I was probably 2 hours into my volunteer shift at Iveland Elementary school. The librarian asked me if I realized I had on two different shoes!

Aagh!!! And the next group was Shelby's kindergarten class. So, I am sure I will hear about this from the entire family.

Now, this isn't the first time I have done something like that. See, when I find a pair of shoes I like, I will buy them in about every color they come in. Thus, I have been known to wear a black and a navy shoe of the same style. Or a black and a hunter green shoe of the same style. These you can reasonably explain to poor morning lighting.

But today. Aaagh, today. Today, I am wearing two completely different types of shoe. One was a completely preppy loafer in tan leather. The other was a black skimmer flat.

I will be accepting my Dork of the Year award on a show televised jointly by the SciFi and History channels.
