Thomas Jefferson Days is tonight and tomorrow
Friday, June 04, 2004
I am and am not looking forward to this event. I do like the meet and greet and seeing people who feel the same about our government that I do. However, I am going by myself so I will almost certainly feel like a wall-flower more often than not.
One good thing is that I did speak with my friend, Sandy, yesterday. She said she would be attending this event. Yeah! I haven't seen her for almost a year and haven't really talked to her for a month or two.
I had called her because I knew I would run into her husband tonight. He is with the Sheet Metal Workers and they usually have a hospitality suite at this event. I didn't want to show my face if he was gonna say "when was the last time you called my wife!". Now, I will get to see both of them and can hang out with Sandy. That and partake in some of the "liquid hospitality" provided by this and other labor unions.
