Waste of a Day

Thursday, May 11, 2006
I haven't really accomplished anything I have set out to do today. Well, I did hand in a final project for my European History class, but I could have done that via e-mail. And, I am now killing another one hour on campus so I can pick up my final papers in an English course.

What I have failed at today:
1) finding my phone--I could more easily kill time returning calls
2) book buy back wouldn't buy back my Psychology books because I didn't have one of the three. Now, please note that one of the three was completely falling apart. The bookstore is a crookstore.
3) thought I would also check out The Da Vinci Code while on campus. First, I couldn't print a receipt for my summer classes from the online registration tool. Now, I did pay through this method but just more inefficiency at St Charles Community College. So, I run to the cashiers office to get a receipt. Some new lady who didn't know how to print a receipt was working. since I was killing time, I didn't mind the wait. But, again, more inefficiency. When I return to the library my book isn't even in yet. I requested it on Sunday! What is the hold up. Oh well, maybe it will come in today's MOBIUS shipment and since I am here killing time...

No Finals!

Sunday, May 07, 2006
I really got lucky this semester. None of my classes had finals this year. Wow! So, for now I am finished with school.

Can't get too comfortable--Summer School starts on May 18.

Sunburns

I can't believe that by May 7, I have my second sunburn. This last one (from yesterday) was my own fault. It was mild out and somewhat cloudy when I started mowing my lawn so I didn't think about a hat or sunscreen.

However, I realized this while driving to my parents house to mow their lawn. And still didn't get a visor out of my car trunk.

Luckily, they are not severe. Just a bit of pink on my face and arms. Hopefully, they will serve as a lesson.
